About

After entering École normale supérieure (Ulm B/L 1989), I studied law at Sorbonne Law School (undergraduate and graduate studies) and at Paris-Saclay Jean Monnet Law School (Ph. D in public law). I was a research fellow in comparative law at the Institute for Advanced Studies on Justice and at the Collège de France.

I was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1995 and started my career as an associate in the Paris office of the US law firm Cleary Gottlieb. I worked closely with the firm for more than ten years on regulatory matters. In 2011, I joined the team in charge of the Alcatel-Lucent FCPA monitorship. I developed from there a leading practice in compliance, through another monitorship case (World Bank Group) and numerous advisory and expert witness mandates. I created my own firm in 2020.

A Sorbonne University associate professor since 2008, I co-founded and co-chair since 2016 the « Compliance Officier » diploma of Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas University, the premier French law school. It is today the leading French academic executive diploma in compliance. Since 2020, I also teach global criminal law at Sciences Po Law School.
